This is targeted towards the motherfucking legions of stamps and comments I've seen in the wake of the disaster in Japan. It's been a while since so many people have had an opportunity to dust off their dancing shoes and rumba to the beat of being a general prick.
In too many places to provide individual links, I have been accused of bawwing about my favourite anime being delayed because I've shown some fucking compassion towards those suffering in Japan. I don't even watch the fucking stuff.
A couple of stamps is fine, but when the braindead fucks of deviantART who fancy themselves as "alternative", and separate from the "mainstream" anime culture on this site start quoting shit they haven't even thought through from these stamps, this is when I take an issue.
Y'see, Not everyone who's concerned about the problem gives a damn about anime. I'm actually more concerned about my cousins that live in Tokyo. (Yeah, they're fine by the way, there has been Skype communication and they're just a bit shaken up.)
Now is the time to stop and think before you fire off your online laser gun, because everyone who opposes you is not a fucking faggot and you are not the righteous gatekeeper of the internetz.

While I'm on the subject, what's going on with all this "Stop praying" shit? What's the thinking behind this? Are you thinking when these people say they're praying for Japan, they actually mean praying for Japan to be engulfed by Gaia? It's not like it's doing any harm. Sure, I don't see eye to eye with religion most of the time, but would you like to know what you're doing when you tell people to stop praying for Japan?

You're telling them to stop showing compassion towards other human beings in the only way they know how.

Right, where's the logic? Not everyone can afford to donate to the aid funds, but the least they can do is show a little bit of humility. OH NOOO! you say, THAT COULD SPREAD THE BAD JUJU TO THE WESTERN WORLD!

Fucking retards. Get your retarded asses off the "Internet Badass Bandwagon", if you aren't capable of staving off the inevitable one-man shitstorm I have become in response to some of this crap, then you are not the badass you think you are.

I like anime because of the storylines and art style. To me, it's the same as regular TV shows. But quite honestly, I care more about my cousin's daughter being in a coma than Naruto Shippuden being delayed.

I can't tell you how mad I get when anime fans only list the VA's or the manga artist that supposedly went missing, what about the children or the other people who maybe aren't famous? They have family's and loved ones don't they care about them? I like anime, but care about the PEOPLE. If my manga got cancelled because of the earthquake,I wouldn't whine or cry about it. That's just sad when people only care about their precious cartoon, because that's what anime is >< I support this stamp!

Ahhh finally a stamp on this subject that I actually agree with entirely. :l

...I don't want to offend or start a fight, but I kind of want to say....before I stumbled on your account on Dev I thought everyone who had a flashing red and black icon/avatar/thingy was just another wannabe-edgy-arse who liked to spit on races or sexualities other than their own with no real reason (other than for the laughs). Lol! :XD:

Aaaand I really like your photo-manipulations....I think...I think I'll subscribe to you now....

I'm one of the older, original wannabe-edgy-arses, and I worked out that the most edgy thing I could do was be edgy about other people trying to be edgy.
No, I'm joking, I don't give a shit about being edgy. I just speak my mind. Not every seizure-inducing icon belongs to "the nu cool kids".

Thanks.

I know it's well after the fact, but I love you for this. I've always had a deep interest in the culture and history of Japan, not just the anime, and every person I've seen freaking out because their favorite mangaka might be hurt before the series ended has made me want to go batshit insane and knock a few teeth in. Some of my friends on DA have family in Japan. Why aren't these idiots worrying about them?

Same here. I like Japan, but not because of anime or Asian dramas *which I love more than anime :P* but why do people only care about the manga artists and voice actors? They should care for everyone.

I've finally found a stamp that says everything about what I think about the whole "Pray for Japan" thing. As an Agnostic, I don't believe praying will do much good but who am I to judge other people for wanting to pray for Japan? If they want to pray, let them pray. If they want to draw a picture about it, let them! Especially if it's the only thing they can really afford to do to show their support for Japan. Not everyone has money to spare for donation. These elitists need to get off their high-horses and realise that it's not about going against what's "mainstream", it's about giving a damn about a country in need.

As for the people who are worried about whether their favourite anime will be able to continue, I'm sure that's not the only thing their worried about. I'm sure they're just as worried about the people as much as the next person. If not, well, shame on them if all they care about is the anime.

The artist's comments are better than the stamp. : D

This was fucking getting on my nerves, too. Most of the people they're yelling at are kids/students who can't afford to donate in the first place. These self-righteous wannabe trolls. I love ED, but it has caused every self-righteous prick with a mean streak to think they're fucking geniuses at trolling/manipulating people. And they LOVE to document themselves spewing their shit everywhere. The other day I saw people trolling this teenage girl just because her art wasn't good. GROWN MEN PICKING ON A TEENAGE GIRL BECAUSE SHE JUST STARTED DRAWING. Good fucking lord I hate people.
